Rachel Hooper was associate curator and Cynthia Woods Mitchell fellow at Blaffer Art Museum at the University of Houston from 2007-2011. Her exhibitions for Blaffer include Amy Patton (2010), Josephine Meckseper (2009), The Center for Land Use Interpretation’s Texas Oil: Landscape of an Industry (2009), andCelebutants, Groupies, and Friends: A Photographic Legacy from the Andy Warhol Foundation (2008). She is a regular contributor to Art Lies…might be good, and SPOT Magazine and has contributed to catalogues such as Plot for a Biennial: Sharjah Biennial 10 (2011), Worlds Away: New Suburban Landscapes (Walker Art Center, 2008), and Brave New Worlds (Walker Art Center, 2007). Hooper was a curatorial fellow at the Walker Art Center in 2006-2007 and has an MA in art history from Williams College.
