1/14 - 5/9 ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE The Center for Land Use Interpretation

Spring 2008

Beginning in January 2008 the Mitchell Center, in partnership with the University of Houston School of Art and Creative Writing Program, hosts the Center for Land Use Interpretation (CLUI) for a residency that focuses on the Buffalo Bayou, the Houston Ship Channel, and their environs.

CLUI members are conducting their research and residency activities from their mobile office on the banks of the bayou. CLUI is also working with students from courses in the UH School of Art, Creative Writing Program and College of Architecture to visit, examine and interpret the regional landscape.

In Fall 2008, following the completion of their residency, CLUI will offer a series of public programs.  Watch for updates!
