Amy Patton

Born in Nacogdoches, Texas and raised in Austin, Patton currently lives and works in Berlin. The landscape of Texas is a reoccurring theme in her films, which disturb conventions of filmic storytelling, such as voice over narration, character acting, and suspenseful pacing. Pattons recent experiments with performance and theater stem from an interest in language and oral storytelling that has characterized her work from the beginning.
